Studio in a School Artist: Josef Zutelgte
First, students created drawings by looking at real flowers.
They discovered the different shapes, textures, colors and distinctive characteristics different flowers have.
Next, students used colorful construction paper to create a collage of flowers or imagined plants. Together we explored various collage techniques such as ripping, cutting, small vs large shapes, overlapping, and composing, and we also included insects that live in our garden.
Can you find an animal?
We worked as a team and the whole class collaborated to create our beautiful garden.
